Howdy! My name is Traci. First and foremost, I am a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. Second, I’m the wife of a loving and supportive husband and the mother of three young children. Third, I’m an Okie by birth, a Texan by choice, and a Texas A&M Aggie…whoop!
Here are a few other tidbits about me:
- You can probably guess that I love to cook…and eat!
- I love to read books, keep a clean house, and create scrapbooks for my kids.
- I wake up at 5 am most days to read the Bible and workout (my favorite workouts: P90X and Insanity).
- My favorite indulgence: Godiva Cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory. And any homemade sweet treat – I especially like the chocolate chip cookies recipe on my blog.
Why did I start this blog?
Eating better and healthier has been a process in the works for years. I continue to learn and refine my food choices. In December 2011, some friends asked me about how I eat and wanted to make some changes. I offered to help and started the first draft of Traci’s Ten Tenets of Eating. They asked for recipes and I emailed a few out. I had a revelation – I’ll start a website where I’m not pushing content to people, but allowing them to find the content they want. Sweeterhoney.com is the result.
In early 2015, I decided to add resources for Bible Drill on this blog. I had a place to communicate and post items relevant to participating families in this program on my blog. And I decided why not use it!
Now, the blog serves a dual purpose – to feed families both physically and spiritually. There is something definitely sweet about that!
One final note: I’m not a doctor, nutritionist, and have not completed any educational classes or training in these fields. Everything on this website is my own personal views and experience or information from people who know more than me.
